The park behind the station...

Has it ever happened to you that you pass by a place many times and never take the time to linger? To me, yes, and very often, unfortunately!!

One evening after dinner at Jiawei Chinese restaurant, we decided to take a walk in the urban park behind Cornavin train station.

I liked it so much that I returned the following day at noon and, as luck was on my side, the weather was super nice… So I took some photos with my smartphone and then I sent them to some of my friends. To my surprise, they did not know this little park either. We called it “The park behind the station”… actually its real name is Parc des Cropettes.

I wish you a sunny and relaxed Thursday, my dear readers!

  4. As you say, it's amazing what is under your nose and you don't notice it. I was in this park once for the Fête de la Musique, but never took the time to wander around. I must re-visit it soon. Love the photos, as always.

  6. This is so beautiful! I definitely feel like the places you know and visit the least, are often the ones closest to you. Mainly because you always keep putting it off, because you know it's so accessible. :)

  11. My Thursday was cloudy and crazy, getting ready for my trip to Texas. But I had a wonderful weekend with my grandchildren. My first grandchild is a beautiful and talented fine artist, who graduated from high school! I especially love the tulips and poppies in your photos.
