This beautiful “village fleuri” was a
wonderful discovery for me. We came here one Sunday to visit and escape the
crowds in Annecy (Haute-Savoie). We sat in the sun by the lake to relax and
admire the view. Afterwards, we walked around the village to discover its true
soul.
As you can see, it looks like it emerged
from a fairy tale story... at least that's how I see it... I am completely in
love with this place; each little nook and cranny, the church, the Chateauvieux
castle, the panoramic view from the chapel next to the cemetery (it may sound
macabre, but, believe me, it is a beautiful and peaceful place!!).
Everything in this village with the
unpronounceable name is overwhelmingly charming.
Coucou ma belle! Il y a de beaux petits coins paradisiaques dans cette région. Gros bisous Chantal
ReplyDeleteSalut Chantal! Oui, que de beaux paysages, verdure et tranquillité, tout ce que j'aime. Bises
DeleteI can't get over how gorgeous those French villages are! Duingt looks really pretty and the alleys are perfect. Lol
ReplyDeleteYou are so right Charles. Have a lovely weekend :)
DeleteI have often admired Duingt as I passed through it on my way to Mëribel and Albertville. You have convinced me that I need to stop and explore it one day. There is more than meets the eye from the road.
ReplyDeleteWow! I admit that you have impressed me in this comment... I've never been to several of these villages you listed. Noted for next time ;-) Thank you very much Cresta Bear, I've really enjoyed your thoughts!

ReplyDeleteYou've said it all very nicely :)
DeleteHow I love this kind of place! It looks exactly like a place from a Fairy Tale, these narrow streets, flowers, the mountains..everything look so charming and beautiful!
