My favorite blogs, the ones that put a smile on my face and inspired me

I must confess, I am not a social media type of person. Never had Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc. None of my circle of friends are addicted to social media. We always exchange email (huge amounts especially with the ones who live as far away as Hong Kong…or more closely but not in the same country).

But I love reading, and that’s maybe the reason why I like blogs. I must admit that I only know a few blogs, and only follow these three which I am loyal. Each is completely different but has one point in common: captivating.

The first blog I have ever read completely was Henna Blossom | a work in progress. www.hennablossom.com

Henna is a beautiful person, a talented amateur photographer and mum of two cute children: Mateo and baby Helena; she is from Chicago. What I like from her lifestyle blog and made me want to follow her writings is simple, I felt deeply moved by this sensitive, sincere, genuine woman who has an excellent sense of humour, plus take beautiful photos. To my regret, Henna hasn't updated her blog lately but as a genuine person she follows her heart/priorities.
 
The other blog that I adore is The Yum List by Monica Tindall and her group of writers. www.theyumlist.blogspot.com

I discovered it because of my love for Asia, especially Malaysia and since then, I have been following religiously this excellent blog. The Yum List is a group of passionate writers (expats and locals) who only publish things that they have tried personally. No payment is taken for any write up on The Yum List, which doesn’t allow any advertisements. This many years winner blog is full of great hotels, restaurants, spas, places to chill out, and interviews...
 
Last but not least, Spanish Marianela, from Tenerife, is the pretty young mum of newborn Arturo. She proves that you can be stylish without ruining yourself. Her fashion blog Marilyn's Closet is the best fashion blog I have ever came across.

Every single day Marianela update her blog with stunning outfits from various local/international brands, beauty advices and amazing hotels from her island Tenerife. I am truly in love with her closet...her pretty dresses. Also like her humility, her sweetness and her spontaneity…she always replies to her readers.
