As you know by now, tea and cake are two
goodies at the top of my list of favourite things. They make me really happy
along with books, spas, pretty dresses, hugs and finding bargains. So, it is no
surprise that, while in London, I should hunt down some tea in my beloved city.
Whittard
From their website: “Whittard, was founded by Walter Whittard, born in 1861 to a family of
successful leather merchants but destined to pursue his principal passion: to
source the finest quality tea, coffee and cocoa from across the globe.”
I spent more than an hour and was advised
by the friendly and passionate Melissa. I bought “Spice Imperial” (black tea
with cinnamon, cloves, ginger, vanilla and orange flavours) and the ultimate
quality of Chinese green tea, “Jasmine Dragon Pearls” (very expensive but worth
every penny).
A massive thanks to Melissa for this
voyage of tea discovery and helpful tips. You are a star!

The Tea House
From their website: “The Tea House was founded in 1982 in Convent Garden – where it remains
to this day. It is a family business which remains true to its principles of
providing an excellent range of high quality black, red, oolong, pu-erh, green
and white teas – to all tastes and for those who like to explore.”
Again I spent about one hour here and was
advised by the friendly and passionate Yee. I bought Sencha “Pina Colada” green
tea with pineapple cubes and flavouring and Ceylon “orange pekoe” Kenilworth
black tea. I also bought two little airtight metal tea boxes.
A massive thanks to Yee for this voyage of
tea discovery and helpful tips. You are a star!
