Strolling in the beautiful village of Dardagny

Last Thursday was a public holiday and we enjoyed a beautiful calm day in the quiet picture postcard village of Dardagny.

I can think of no better way to spend a day off than heading to a fabulous village, enjoying a stroll and then having a lovely meal in a gorgeous restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. We had local products for lunch at Auberge de Dardagny (I am still dreaming of the heavenly plum tart with vanilla ice cream). After lunch we went for a long walk visiting the village and the vineyards. On our way we saw the Town Hall, which is in fact an imposing “château”.

If you are a lover of good wine do not hesitate to explore this sublime area and its wineries. Dardagny (16 km from Geneva) is essentially an agricultural and wine-growing commune that counts around 1500 inhabitants, with 600 souls living in the village itself. It was named the most beautiful village in Switzerland in 2015.

EVENT this weekend: Russin Grape Harvest Festival "Fête des Vendanges de Russin" on the weekend of 18th-20th of September from 11:30 to 3:00

Regarding my look, I was in the mood for comfortable chic: bordeaux tunic, trench coat and leopard ankle boots with an orange baby bag from my favourite accessory shop, Code43.

    1. Sorry for that...I took it with my smartphone (felt reticent to disturb the elderly ladies sitting next to our table). Poor quality of picture, I know ;-((
If you attend this weekend's festivities in Russin, I hope you have a good time.

  2. That maroon dress is stunning. Your photos of greenery and blue skies are making me envious. It's still pretty hazy here in KL.
