Idyllic day at Lavey-Les-Bains thermal baths and Saint-Maurice

A few weeks ago we decided to give ourselves a real treat. Very early in the morning we left for a 1 ½ hour drive from Geneva. We took advantage of the virtues of the hottest thermal waters in Switzerland at Lavey-Les-Bains. This is my second time there and I love everything about it, including Saint-Maurice which is 5 minutes’ drive away. The setting of the thermal baths looks like a painting. They are surrounded by mountains and are situated in the heart of lush green countryside.

The two outdoor pools and the indoor pool are at a temperature of 32°C to 36°C.  They also offer a wonderful range of treatments in their wellness centre. The atmosphere is joyful but not noisy and crowded.

After spending many hours in the baths, we left with our batteries completely recharged. We headed for a late lunch in St. Maurice and a stroll in this charming village.

I recommend that you discover Lavey-Les-Bains thermal baths and St. Maurice. You will adore this green oasis, I am certain!  www.lavey-les-bains.ch

Regarding my look, there is nothing better than a swimsuit when you are feeling uncomfortable with some extra kilos that need to be lost. This swimsuit is not only beautiful but is also made of good quality material and thus flatters the silhouette.

I love flip flops and denim miniskirts, they are the essence of the summer. I bought this miniskirt in a boutique that has since closed. I had a crush on this handmade straw basket, it is practical and pretty. Its simplicity makes it a must.

  1. I was already envious when I saw the first pic of the sparkling blue water and then I saw the next photo with the mountains in the background! Now just plain old jealousy has taken over ;-) It all looks so beautiful. I can't see the buildings in front of my own apartment building at the moment - the haze is hazardous in KL at the moment.

    1. Sorry to hear that - it's not awesome over KL these days. Anyway, you have to plan an exploration of Switzerland for the coming year. There is so much to see.
You already have a great fan here who is dying to have Swiss 5 star palaces reviewed by The Yum List. I believe that hotels are not the only potential subjects for you here. It is extremely difficult to get hold of excellent reviews of food, hotels, spas and other venues that are well documented, photographed and impeccably written. I am not trying to flatter you: this is what many of us think :'))))

  2. Wow - what a splendid setting for the baths!

The photos of your visit to the castle are very atmospheric, too.
